MY APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY
My work is inspired by developmental psychology’s theory of constructivism, which I studied while completing my undergraduate degree. This theory posits that, rather than passive recipients of knowledge, human beings are active contributors to their learning and development who construct knowledge through subjective experience and interaction with others and the world.
I love this philosophy because it aligns deeply with my own belief that human beings are inherently capable of growth and change, and that we are already equipped with the means to do so. You’ve been adapting to change your entire life even without realizing it — it’s the reason you’re here today! My work honours this about you, and endeavours to afford you access to skills, practice, and wisdom that can enhance this process. Sometimes life throws you curveballs that overwhelm your brain and body’s ability to cope, and therapy can be a soft landing place to cultivate new skills, process pain, and learn to live differently.
My practice integrates techniques from evidence-informed modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I also commonly apply guided imagery, Brainspotting, parts work, creative expression, and nervous system psychoeducation to help my clients understand themselves and process their experiences. Many of these techniques borrow from ancestral Indigenous wisdom of diverse origins — human beings have known how to heal since time immemorial. It is a privilege to do this work and be a keeper of healing wisdom.
People who enjoy working with me tend to share in my identities, namely being queer, neurodivergent, and navigating chronic health conditions. My clients are drawn to the evidence-based nature of my technique, paired with my warmth and sense of humour.
I am guided by my three core values of…
ACCESS
I believe that care should be accessible. My work honours the expertise you have in your lived experience and makes consent a priority. It is human to struggle — I believe dysfunction occurs in the context of self, relations, and systems, and I am mindful of the ways that stigma and pathology can cause harm.
Accessibility information about my practice is avaailable on this page.
LIBERATION
My work endeavours to afford you greater access to justice and autonomy, whatever that looks like for you. I am deeply committed to anti-oppressive values including harm reduction, racial and disability justice, queer and trans justice, and body neutrality and inclusivity.
CURIOSITY
I believe suffering is an invitation to be creative, to see what can transform. My work provides you the opportunity to practice new skills that can help you reimagine your life. We also have fun in my work! Healing is as much about embodying joy as it is about processing pain.

You love each other, you really do — but something has been getting in the way of your ability to enjoy the relationship for what it is.
Using the Gottman Method and somatic processing techniques, my work offers a space in which you can explore why you’re feeling stuck, and how to reinforce your connection in a way that respects both of your needs.
By the end of a session, you might feel closer to your partner, have answered a question, or have a new skill to experiment with.
